Parlem de Pintura...
Ernest Ange Duez (Paris, 7 de març de 1843 - Bougival, 4 d'abril de 1896) va ser un pintor francès. Es va formar amb el pintor Isidore-Alexandre-Augustin Pils. El 1868 va participar per primera vegada al Saló de París obtenint, el 1874, la tercera medalla, la qual va anticipar nous èxits en anys successius. El 1879 va realitzar possiblement la seva obra més famosa, el tríptic de Sant Cuthbert, on va combinar la temàtica tradicional amb un paisatge costaner, tractat amb pronunciat naturalisme. En els anys següents Duez va aconseguir renom com a retratista. En aquest sentit, va realitzar el retrat de la seva dona, Mme. Duez, i també els dels pintors Ulysse Butin i Alphonse de Neuville. Aviat, però, va retornar al paisatgisme de tall històric i al·legòric. El 1888 va pintar per a La Sorbona el panell decoratiu Virgili buscant inspiració en els boscos, i el 1892 va realitzar una parella de figures al·legòriques relatives a la Botànica i la Física per l'Hotel de Ville de París. Duez va morir l'abril de 1896 a Bougival.

Parlem de Música...
Georg Wilhelm Rauchenecker (München, 8 de març de 1844 - Elberfeld, 17 de juliol de 1906) va ser un compositor alemany. Va néixer a Munich, ciutat on es va formar en violí, orgue i composició. Poc després va treballar en diverses ciutats franceses com a violinista, director i organista fins que va començar la Guerra Franco-Prussiana de 1870. A partir d'aleshores va viure a Suïssa on va ser membre fundador el 1875 i director del Musikkollegium de Winterthur. Anys més tard va tornar a Alemanya on va ser director de diverses orquestres. El 1905 va rebre el títol honorífic de Director de Música de Prússia. Va ser molt prolífic com a compositor destacant per les seves òperes, tres simfonies i dos concerts de piano. Va morir a Elberfeld el juliol de 1906.

ResponEliminaQuin compositor romàntic més interessant i desconegut. A més veig que va compondre simfonies i concerts per a violí, violoncel, piano... que suposo que deuen ser preciosos però el més segur és que no estiguin ni publicats o enregistrats ...

Ya ves y eso que personalmente no soy muy aficionado al género cuarteto / quinteto de cuerdas. Pero en este caso me gustó mucho! Una lástima en mayúsculas que sus sinfonias, conciertos y todo su amplio repertorio permanezcan en silencio. Me cuesta créerlo!
