Johann Joseph Jansen (Aachen, 20 de juliol de 1829 - Düsseldorf, 5 de febrer de 1905) va ser un pintor alemany. Es va formar amb Johann Wilhelm Schirmer a l'Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Düsseldorf. Finalitzada la seva formació, va començar a la seva carrera com a pintor de paisatges dels entorns dels rius Rin i Moselle. Més tard, va realitzar diversos viatges per Alemanya a la cerca de nous escenaris pels seus treballs. A partir del 1850 va exhibir regularment en diverses exposicions alemanyes i a partir del 1870 ho va fer anualment a l'Acadèmia d'Arts de Berlin. La seva dona Luise Siebke i la seva filla Emilia Jansen (1871-1918) van ser també artistes. Johann Joseph Jansen va morir a Düsseldorf el febrer de 1905.
Parlem de Música...
Franz Ignaz Danzi (Schwetzingen, 15 de juny de 1763 - Karlsruhe, 13 d'abril de 1826) va ser un compositor, director i violoncel·lista alemany. Fill del també violoncel·lista Innocenz Danzi, es va formar inicialment amb el seu pare. Posteriorment, va rebre formació de Georg Joseph Vogler abans d'unir-se, el 1778, a l'orquestra del príncep elector Carles II Teodor de Baviera. La seva primera composició es va publicar a Mannheim el 1780. Malgrat el trasllat de la cort del príncep elector a Munich, va seguir durant un temps a Mannheim en una petita orquestra teatral. Al final va tornar a l'orquestra del príncep a Munich, on a partir del 1784 va ocupar el lloc de violoncel·lista principal deixat pel seu pare. Es va casar amb la cantant Maria Marguerite Marchand, amb la qual va fer una gira per Leipzig, Praga, Venècia i Florència. El 1798 va tornar a Munich on va assolir el càrrec de mestre de capella de l'orquestra. El 1807, descontent pel tracte rebut i per la decadència musical, es va traslladar a Stuttgart, un centre musical de menor importància, i finalment a Karlsruhe. Com a compositor, va explorar la quasi totalitat dels gèneres existents al seu temps destacant, especialment, per les seves obres de cambra, simfonies i òperes. La seva germana Francesca Lebrun va ser compositora i cantant. Franz Danzi va morir a Karlsruhe l'abril de 1826.
