Portuguese organist and composer. Almost nothing is known about his life
and career. He was mainly active as harpsichordist and organist in
Lisboa, the city where he published a collection of keyboard works
entitled "Dodeci Sonate, Variazione, Minuetti per cembalo" (Lisboa,
c.1770). Another collection of 26 anonymous toccatas included in the
"Colectânea de peças para tecla do século XVIII" were recently
attributed to Francisco Xavier Baptista.
